Summer tobogganing
Children aged 3 and over may toboggan if accompanied. The companion must be at least 8 years old. From the age of 8, everyone may toboggan alone. Unfortunately, children under the age of 3 are not allowed to toboggan for safety reasons. However, there are also many attractions without a minimum age.
Two people fit on one toboggan, but you are also welcome to toboggan alone. Please check the minimum age beforehand and bring an accompanying person (if necessary). We have noted down all the important dates of the attractions.
There is no maximum size, there are also tobogganers who are over 2 meters tall. Our maximum weight for the sledges on the summer toboggan run is 150 kg.
Our season starts at the end of March and we can operate until November if the weather is good. Take a look at our traffic light system for the daily opening times.
We are also open on Sundays and public holidays. Take a look at our traffic light system. Here you will find our daily OPENING HOURS.
You do not need to book our toboggan run. We recommend booking in advance for groups of 30 people or more, but we are also prepared for spontaneous visits. Take a look at our offers.

You can either buy tickets on site at the ticket office or in advance in our online store.
No, you can buy our toboggan tickets easily and conveniently directly from us at the ticket office. But you can also buy them via our online store. It is not possible to reserve toboggan rides.
In any case! The 6-ticket is not personal and can be used by several people.
Yes, the GROUP PRICE is available for our summer toboggan run for groups of 15 or more.
Our toboggan tickets are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. You will also find the expiration date on the toboggan tickets.
Entry to the adventure mountain is free of charge. You only pay for the attractions you want to use.
A light rain shower should not stop us. If the rain lasts longer, we will unfortunately have to close the summer toboggan run. If you are unsure, it is best to check the WEBCAM.
Access to the Altenberg Adventure Mountain is completely free of charge. To use our attractions, you will need to buy a ticket at our ticket offices on site. You can find the prices on our prices page.
The toboggan ticket is valid for our summer toboggan run. Other attractions are listed here. In addition to one ride, you can also purchase a 6-ride ticket or a day ticket.
A visit to Altenberg Adventure Mountain is always worthwhile! If you want to avoid a long queue, we recommend a visit in the morning if the weather forecast is good. The early bird sleds longer!
With your toboggan ticket, you go through the turnstile and get on the next free toboggan. Our staff will then give you a brief introduction to the braking system. You remain comfortably seated on the toboggan and are automatically pulled upwards with our lift system. Once at the top, the toboggan disengages and you enter the ride - and then the wild ride begins.
Everything is much more fun without a backpack! You can find lockers for your rucksack or bag for a fee. These are then stored safely and you can toboggan with peace of mind!
In your own interest and due to safety regulations, pregnant women are not permitted to use the summer toboggan run. However, there are plenty of good vantage points where you can watch your loved ones tobogganing in comfort.
Our summer toboggan run is barrier-free. There are special conditions for people with a disabled pass and a registered accompanying person. You can find out more about the prices here.

Yes - every toboggan rider must buy a ticket. Even if you are only the accompanying person for the under 8-year-old child.
Guests who have a disabled pass with the letter "B" (accompanying person) receive a discount. Please show your ID at the ticket office. Further information can be found on our price list

Helmets are compulsory when riding our mountain carts. We will provide you with a helmet in your size free of charge.
All helmets are thoroughly disinfected and cleaned before use.
The ride is most fun on your own. However, children over 1.05 m are welcome to ride with an adult.

Climbing
Registration or reservation is not required. Check our opening hours to see if the climbing labyrinth is open. Then just come along and climb for as long as you like!
After passing through the turnstile, you can climb for as long as you like - there is no time limit. After leaving the climbing labyrinth, your ticket is validated. Please take a look at our ticket prices.
A visit to the climbing maze is always worthwhile! If you want to avoid a long queue or lots of children in the climbing labyrinth, we recommend a visit in the morning when the weather forecast is good. The early bird climbs longer!
Our climbing labyrinth is secured by safety nets. So your child can climb all by themselves without anything happening.

Our climbing labyrinth is regularly checked by us for safety. If you accidentally step over the edge, the climbing net will catch you. You are always safe with us!
Your parents can watch you climb and if you get stuck, we will be happy to help you out.

Skiing
Unfortunately, we look into the crystal ball just like you do. Sometimes winter arrives at the beginning of December, sometimes it waits until after Christmas. We'll let you know as soon as we have enough snow for skiing. We promise!

We are in close contact with Mrs. Holle. Our snow cannons do their best to ensure that you have perfect snow for skiing!
We update daily whether there is enough snow for skiing. If you are unsure, you should keep an eye on our daily opening times.
Our snow cannons and lances can be put into operation from -3 °C. We can only start producing snow when it is permanently that cold. But we will keep you up to date when we start producing snow.
You can check our weather forecast to find out when temperatures will fall below 0 °C.
We are hoping for an early winter in early/mid-December and will let you know when it starts!

Yes, you can pay for your ski ticket at the same time as the ski rental fees. If you want to buy your lift tickets before your visit, please visit our webshop.
You can buy tickets for the lift in advance in our webshop, but it is also possible to buy them on site.

You can use your ski ticket at all ski lifts in Altenberg. Just as you like. Take a look at our piste map and discover your favorite run.
For all ski beginners, the uphill ride with our covered Zauberteppich is ideal. Here you can climb up comfortably and reach the top safely. In contrast to our T-bar lift, you stand on a conveyor belt in the Zauberteppich. You simply take your skis, snowboard or sledge with you. This will get you safely to the top. In the ski school you will learn how to ride the drag lift safely.
Helmets are not compulsory on our ski slopes. However, we strongly recommend wearing a helmet while skiing. You protect yourself and others from an accident.
If you don't have your own helmet, you can hire one directly from the ski hire shop.
You can access the Altenberg Adventure Mountain free of charge. To use our lifts, you will need to buy a ticket at our ticket offices on site.
Alternatively, you can also buy your ticket online in the online store.
The lifts open when the snow depth is at least 30 cm so that the Pistenbully can drive over the piste to prepare it. Take a look at our current opening times or the webcam before your visit to see what the situation looks like on site.
You can order your tickets in advance via our webshop. However, you also have the option of buying your tickets on site. There you can pay conveniently by EC card, cash or invoice.

The ski rental opens at the same time as the ski lifts. On busy days, the ski rental is generally open half an hour before the ski lifts so that you can rent your skis at your leisure. So check the opening times of the ski slopes. As soon as a slope is open, you can hire skis.

Our ski rental offers the possibility to store your ski equipment (whether rented or your own equipment) overnight. The ski depots are ideal for 2 complete sets of equipment and are heated. In the morning you can hit the slopes in warm boots.
We keep getting requests from people who want to hire ski trousers from us. We do not offer ski pants and ski jackets for hire.
We do not offer reservations for ski equipment. Just drop by and try out the skis and boots on site.

Every guest receives freshly disinfected shoes from us. All shoes are heated so that you can step into the snow with a good feeling.
Of course! The ski school offers the right coaching for everyone. With us, you can learn your first turns on skis and snowboard. But we also teach you advanced skiing.
If you want to save some time the next morning, you can pick up your equipment 2 hours before closing time the day before.
It's best to check our daily opening times so that you can make the most of your day's skiing.
You can only hire alpine skis from us. You cannot hire cross-country skis from us.
You can simply leave your street shoes at the ski rental. There is a locker for rucksacks and valuables, but the number is limited, so you have to be there in good time.

Borrowing is only possible from the age of 18. If someone is younger, we require a declaration of consent from their parents and a copy of their ID. For school classes, the teacher's ID is sufficient.

The early bird sleds longer! In the morning, when most guests are still on their way to Altenberg, you have particularly short waiting times. We then enjoy the tranquillity of nature. This is a real insider tip: Saturday mornings are excellent for tobogganing without long waiting times and with the first rays of sunshine.

We are a pet-friendly adventure mountain, so you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend with you. We ask you to keep dogs on a lead. However, dogs are not allowed on the summer toboggan run.
You can park comfortably in our parking lots. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Altenberg adventure mountain. The signs will show you the way.

Our winter offer applies to school classes. We offer a combination of ski lift ticket and ski rental. Please note our prices for group offers.

You have rented the following at the Rodelklause:
- Use of the dining room and terrace
- incl. use of crockery
- Supervision by our Rodelklause staff
- incl. final cleaning of the rooms
- Decoration with napkins, table runners and candles possible for an additional €30.
The use of the Rodelklause is possible until 1 am.
For groups of up to 25 people, the minimum consumption is €300. From 25 persons the minimum consumption is 400,-€.
In addition, the flat-rate rent for the Rodelklause is €300 (including room rent, staff, cleaning, electricity, heating).
If you hire the summer toboggan run or mountain carts, you always have a block of hours. For example, you can hire for 2 hours and then toboggan for 2 hours.
The best thing? You are alone on the facility, so there are no waiting times and you can toboggan as much as you want!
The Rodelklause can be rented from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. at the latest.
